A group of strangers arrive at an unknown facility to participate in a focus group. Hypothetical concepts suddenly turn into real actions when the group of strangers are slowly killed off. Slowly, Emily realizes something is not quite right with the experiment as people in the room start behaving violently towards each other. Phillips, the man who recruited the group, is really a government agent who designs torturous games to test human reactions. Through the course of the day, these total strangers are asked if they would perform certain acts, including violence and torture against each other, in exchange for a reward. Emily Reilly is in charge of a psychological research study that brings together a homeless man, a reclusive loner, a former military vet and a drug addict. Unknown to the participants, they are actually a part of a top secret, government experiment.
